I think the area you're looking for is in the forum titled, General Discussion. The first page I get to has the most recent posts, but they're all grouped together regardless of forum. Hope that helps.

I don't know if we're supposed to post this question here or not, but I went to the forums and don't see a spot where people ask questions of other authors. Should I just start a thread? There doesn't appear to be a "How to" thread or anything...

Good morning San Diego! It's beginning to look like we have a real site now! I can't wait until we get the official open for business message.

I'm also stoked that we appear to have a really interesting mix of authors and viewpoints. I really dig the variety of posts so far - let's keep it up!

I can't add categories, nor did it pick up any of the tags I put in, either. It tells me I'm not authorized to make any changes to my post, nor can I include the embed for a video clip either. Are these rules?

under Manage all I get is Posts, Links, Media Library, and Polls :(

Daniel, when you're logged in to the WordPress interface, click Manage, then Categories. Do you see an Add New link near the top? If so, then you can add categories. If not, let me know and I'll add them.
