The first ever Metblogs Photo Scavenger Hunt has begun!

We'll start off slow and easy, and depending on how this goes increase things for the next round. The first person to post photos in this thread of the following items will be declared the winner!

1. A person with a hat that has the name of a city on it
2. A sign for wifi at a coffee shop
3. Inside furniture left outside
4. Political propaganda of some sort.
5. A residential mailbox with "42" in it

And what till that winner win? Well we're working on some actual physical prizes but since we haven't received them here yet I think I'm going to wait until next round for some of that, so this week the winner will get a $25 iTunes Gift Certificate. Check the rules on the main group page for other details, like how to prove you took the photo (and didn't find it online somewhere) - OK... GO!

Each round will be different but I think we'll start off small and see how that goes from there, maybe 5 for the first round?

Thanks for the submission, but this is actually exactly what we said you can't do. You need to take the photos yourself, not just find them online. From the rules:

1. Photos must have the word "metbogs" in them (not added to them after) like with a note or sign or something so we know you actually took the photo for this contest. No photoshopping.

The joys of being a Subsitute Teacher during the Summer. Lots of free time :P

Nice for those who have plenty of free time on a weekday and are in a North America time zone.

Exactly why we are not holding it at a set time every week.

Very nice. I couldn't even find a freakin' person with a LA hat on today.

that was quick indeed, and well done gregg!

i started after work today and just managed two items when it started to rain. and honestly i don't even know if i can get item 5 because most houses here don't have mailbox - we have hole to put post through the door instead. then again, ireland is this strange country that doesn't have postcode either... ;)

since i went out, i'll share the two pics anyway :)

wifi requirement is possibly the easiest among the lot

it involves legalisation movement, so does that count as political? note the dark sky... urgggh, i want more sunshine - it's supposed to be summer!
