31 killed, 80 injured in Peshawar blast
PESHAWAR: At least 31 people were killed and 80 others injured in a bomb blast near a hotel on Qisa Khawani Bazaar, while 22 peoples are reported to be in most critical situation.

The difference between Pakistan & India is clear that Pakistan does not Play a Blame Game, Pakista is fighting back and will teach a lesson to those who are trying to destablize the state and region.
After the blast the surrounding buildings were engulfed in fire owing to congested place and a number of vehicles were also damaged completely after the blast.

IG, Police NWFP Malik Naveed Khan said that as a result of blast a crater of 5 feet has formed on the blast place in Qisa Khawani Bazaar that indicates that the blast was not of suicidal type, which does not make crater and according to an estimate about 20 to 25 Kg explosive was utilized in the blast, he added.

He further said that the target of the blast could most possibly be a innocent citizen as compared to the nearly situated Imambargah, who were busy in Eid shopping, stating further that the security throughout the province has been enhanced after this heinous incident.

Provincial Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain while terming the blast as a cowardice act said that about 80 victims of the blast have been rushed to Hospital, among whom 22 were in critical situation and also included children and women, he maintained.

He further reiterated that the Government will observe every possible measure to eliminate the terrorist elements from the country and also expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families of the blast victims.

Meanwhile Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and President Asif Ali Zardari while denouncing the Peshawar Blast has expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the kin of the blast victims and directed the Health department to fully facilitate the injured.

Defense minister, Ahmad Mukhtar, and federal minister for defense production, Abdul Qayyum Khan, have expressed further condemnations.
